01 / BASE MODE

Continue Everwinter Without Mercy

The Version 7.0 update notes state that the third-person shooter combat gameplay becomes available as you progress through Chapter VII: Act I, “Everwinter Without Mercy.” They do not name a more exact subquest in the unlock criterion.

Because the source is not more specific, this guide deliberately stops at “progress Act I” rather than inventing a precise trigger. Follow the Archon Quest until the gameplay tutorial appears.

02 / WEEKLY TRAINING

Cycle Training is a later unlock

For the Special Recruitment Project: Cycle Training, progress through Chapter VII: Act II, “Wraith's Nocturne,” until its prerequisite quest becomes available, then complete that prerequisite quest. The official update describes this order but does not name the prerequisite quest in the cited section.

After the shooter gameplay is available, the train's shooting range also provides the simulated Shadow Realm challenge called “Edge of Survival.” The official note says more stages will be added in future versions, so stage counts are intentionally omitted here.

  1. Unlock and begin Chapter VII: Act I.
  2. Continue Act I until the shooter gameplay becomes available.
  3. Complete Act I and begin Chapter VII: Act II.
  4. Progress Act II until the prerequisite quest appears.
  5. Complete that quest to gain access to Cycle Training.
